I went into NIGHTBELL expecting a quiet, atmospheric horror demo… but I didn’t expect it to get under my skin like this. NIGHTBELL is a first-person horror game developed and published by TrueGames, and it takes place on Christmas Eve, inside what should be the safest place of all — home. You play as a young boy who stays home with his mother on the night before the holiday. The house is warm, decorated, and full of anticipation… until everything changes. After hearing a bedtime story about a witch who carries a bell, I wake up in the middle of the night to that same chilling chime. My mother is gone. The house feels wrong. The shadows move differently. And something that looks like my mom may not actually be her. This is just the demo version of NIGHTBELL, and even without the full release, it delivers an incredibly unsettling experience. The game focuses heavily on atmosphere, sound design, and slow-building tension, rather than cheap jump scares. Every creak of the floor, every flicker of light, and every distant bell ring made me question whether I was safe — or ever alone. As I explored the house, I had to follow the sound of the bell, hide from an unknown presence, and piece together clues scattered throughout the environment. What really stood out to me was how the game blurs the line between dream and reality. By morning, everything seems like it could have been a nightmare… but some details refuse to make sense, leaving you uneasy long after the demo ends. If you’re a fan of psychological horror games, indie horror demos, or slow-burn experiences that rely on tension instead of constant action, NIGHTBELL is absolutely worth keeping an eye on. The Christmas setting makes it even more disturbing — there’s something deeply unsettling about a cozy holiday environment turning hostile. On my channel FabeJax, I love playing and showcasing unique horror games like this — especially demos and indie titles that deserve more attention. If NIGHTBELL is anything to go by, the full release could be something truly special, and I’m excited to see where the story goes. Let me know in the comments what you thought of this demo. Was it all just a dream… or something much darker? If you enjoyed this gameplay, make sure to like the video, subscribe to FabeJax, and turn on notifications so you don’t miss future horror game demos, indie gems, and full gameplay experiences. More horror content is on the way. Thanks for watching — and remember… Sometimes the scariest place is home.
