The end of Christbus is drawing very close, especially since it is the day before Christmas Eve! On the road to Day 25, we go into Whaley Thorns one last time for 2025 with Stagecoach East Midlands' Mansfield-based service 23. Date filmed: October 1, 2025, at 5:38pm Vehicle: ADL Enviro400MMC/YX73 OWU (11682) Filmed on: iPhone 15 Pro Max Service 23 is the main route that runs hourly between Mansfield and Whaley Thorns via Pleasley and Shirebrook, even going into Moorfield Lane on some journeys. Service 23A is one of two supplementary routes, running hourly between Mansfield and Whaley Thorns, but takes a little detour into Shirebrook and terminates. During the daytimes, 23 and 23A offer a 30-minute frequency along the Mansfield-Whaley Thorns corridor. Service 23B is the last of two supplementary route, running hourly into Whaley Thorns from Mansfield, but Monday to Saturday evenings. It takes a little detour from Mansfield before rejoining the main corridor from Clumber Drive and taking the same route into Shirebrook like the main 23. On Sundays, it has a bi-hourly while interworking with the 53A.
