Veg Steam Momos recipe you can easily make at home Veg Steam Momos (Street-Style) Ingredients For the Dough: • 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida) • ½ tsp salt • ~¾ cup water (as needed) For the Filling: • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage • ½ cup grated carrot • ½ cup finely chopped onion • 2–3 tbsp finely chopped capsicum • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger • 1–2 green chilies (optional) • 1 tbsp soy sauce • ½ tsp black pepper powder • Salt to taste • 1 tbsp oil 👩🍳 Method 1️⃣ Prepare the Dough 1. Mix flour and salt in a bowl. 2. Add water gradually and knead into a soft, smooth dough. 3. Cover and let it rest for 20–30 minutes. 2️⃣ Prepare the Filling 1. Heat oil in a pan. 2. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a few seconds. 3. Add onions and sauté till slightly translucent. 4. Add cabbage, carrot, and capsicum. 5. Stir-fry on high flame for 2–3 minutes (keep veggies slightly crunchy). 6. Add soy sauce, black pepper, and salt. 7. Mix well and turn off the flame. Let the mixture cool completely. 3️⃣ Shape the Momos 1. Divide dough into small balls. 2. Roll each into a thin circle (like small puri). 3. Place 1 tbsp filling in the center. 4. Pleat and seal the edges (half-moon or round shape). 4️⃣ Steam the Momos 1. Grease a steamer plate lightly. 2. Arrange momos without touching each other. 3. Steam for 8–10 minutes until shiny and slightly translucent. 4. Do not oversteam — they may become chewy.
