Gowbarrow Fell, Hallin Fell & Aira Force Waterfall. Lake District. 25th May 2023

Part Two of our day in the Eastern Lake District Having walked up to Great Mell Fell & Little Mell Fell earlier in the day we then parked at Aira Force Car park near Ullswater. This is a National Trust Pay & Display Car Park ( Prices on the website) From the car park we follow the path to Aira Force Waterfall. After visiting the Waterfalls we then take the path through the woods before heading up to Gowbarrow Fell (481m) We had great views looking back to Ullswater as we headed up. After a break on Gowbarrow Fell we take the path down which runs beside Ullswater. This route down has superb views all the way. On returning to the Car park we then drive around to the opposite side of Ullswater and parked beside St Peter's Chuch, The Hause, Martindale. From the church we then walk up to our final fell of the day, Hallin Fell (388m) This has superb views looking over Ullswater and was a great end to our day.
