Estonia and Finland - A 'Steller' Cast with Henry Cook

In this talk we welcome back former Bird Group Vice-Chair, Henry Cook to hear about Finland and Estonia. Henry is a keen world birder and travels widely with his partner, Sophie. This talk is based on two trips to Eastern Europe in search of enigmatic birds and some of the region's most elusive mammals. Henry is now Warden of one of the RSPB's flagship reserves, Lakenheath Fen in Suffolk, home to 17 booming Bitterns, 3 pairs of Cranes and currently 4400 wintering Whooper Swan. Prior to this he spent many happy years living and working in North Wales, where he patched the Little Orme and RSPB Conwy. He was heavily involved in the North Wales Little Tern Group and BTO surveys.
