#sadhanaforest #puducherry #tamilnadu #southindia #substancefreelife #saveenvironment #vegen #travelfilms THE VISION: My solo bike journey across India is about uncovering stories hidden in every corner of the country. I aim to truly understand each state by living like a local, experiencing the culture, the food, the people, and the narratives that make each place unique, revealing the hidden, interesting aspects simply by changing perspective. I seek out untold stories—tales that deserve to be filmed, not just showcased with drone shots or glossy visuals, but captured through the beauty of the place: aesthetically, emotionally, and historically. After exploring the ancient martial arts of Kerala, I reached Puducherry/Tamil Nadu. HOW I REACHED THE STORY? Puducherry, also known as Pondicherry, is a place that beautifully blends Indian spirit with French colonial charm — something we often see in those dreamy Pondicherry reels today. One of my favorite parts of Puducherry is the Auroville community. Since the moment I first heard about Auroville, I was fascinated and proud to learn that such an incredible community exists right here in India. During my visit, I also explored Sadhana Forest, and the moment I entered, I was captivated by its unique architecture — unlike anything I had ever seen before. As I learned more about their philosophy and activities, I was deeply moved by the mix of cultures and the way people from all over the world live together with kindness, equality, and purpose. Every action there felt meaningful. The off-grid lifestyle, driven by compassion and environmental consciousness, truly inspired me. I instantly knew this was a story that needed to be shared — not just through observation, but through experience. THE FILM: That’s why, before picking up my camera, I decided to become a volunteer for 10 days, immersing myself completely to understand the heart of the place. After taking permission from the founder, I began working on a film about this beautiful community. Since Sadhana Forest is a volunteer-based space, I didn’t receive any special privileges — I worked and lived just like everyone else, which made the experience even more authentic. This film turned out to be my quickest shoot ever — it’s a 12-minute film created from barely an hour of total footage. I am truly thankful to the founder and the manager who helped me and allowed me to film and share my story about how I felt in this place. In this video, I take you deep into the heart of Sadhana Forest, an international water conservation and reforestation community based in India. But this is more than just a story about planting trees — it’s about discovering a joyful, sustainable, and deeply meaningful way of life. Being true to the subject, I aimed to create a film that genuinely represents Sadhana Forest — capturing its spirit, daily activities, and way of life. I wanted it to feel as though it was made for the community itself, reflecting its truth, emotions, and values. Even if you’ve never been here, or if you’re planning to visit, this documentary is meant to give you a complete understanding of the community — its rules, emotions, and deeper purpose. This film is also my contribution to Sadhana Forest, as a traveler and believer in the work and vision they carry forward. In this short documentary, I tried to capture a glimpse of daily life — from early morning seva (selfless service) and community living to water conservation, native tree planting, and zero-waste cooking. It’s a lifestyle that combines hard work, self-growth, and genuine joy in equal measure. 🎤 The video includes personal reflections from international volunteers, sharing why they came, how the experience transformed them, and what it means to live with intention. 🧡 You’ll also hear directly from the founder of Sadhana Forest, who shares the powerful vision behind this global movement — where reforestation is just one part of a larger mission: nurturing both people and the planet together. 00:00 What’s Inside? 00:52 Beginning 01:09 Wan Seva (Forest Management) 03:42 Gau Seva (Care of Cows) 05:55 Instructions 06:45 Meet the Co-founder 07:46 Fun in the Forest 08:24 The Artistic Side of Sadhana Forest 09:19 Conclusion For detailed Information: https://sadhanaforest.org/ ❤️ Traveling solo takes immense effort—and making films alone even harder. Without any sponsors or external support, I do this purely for my vision: to show the real India—not just through news channels or film portrayals, but by uncovering the raw, authentic stories that make us proud as Indians.🇮🇳 All I ask: 1 like, 1 comment, 1 share—and if you feel like supporting, 1 subscribe 🙂 🙏 Shukriya 🇮🇳
