It’s been quite some time since I’ve had a grounding that I wasn’t able to pull free on the first attempt…but today that streak ended. I’ve pulled lots of boats free from the sandbar at Jewfish Key before, but never one from this side. Unfortunately, with the rapidly falling tide and limited deep water access, I was unable to free this boat on the first attempt, and with high tide not being for another 12 hours or so, I elected to take the people off the boat and back to shore and come back in the morning and bring the boat back to the marina for them.
