After watching this video, you'll be able to straighten your back by yourself. Become an ACTOR rather than a SPECTATOR of your own healing by following the principles of the McKenzie Method for straightening your back. The McKenzie Method originates in New Zealand, with a therapist by the name of Robin McKenzie (that's him) who noticed that his patients, who complained of chronic back pain, etc., well, they all had one thing in common: they held themselves badly. They maintained poor posture. And Robin McKenzie also noticed that when he asked his patients to straighten up, and thus maintain a more appropriate posture for a certain period of time, well, they claimed to have less back pain, or even, for some of them, no back pain at all. 35,000 Patients Over the course of his career, Robin McKenzie has treated over 35,000 patients for Back problems Spinal trauma Trauma to the cervical spine After seeing the reduction in back pain in many of his patients, simply by correcting their posture, Robin McKenzie decided to take up the challenge, by correcting posture, Robin McKenzie came to observe 2 things: 1. Chronic back pain is systematically caused by prolonged poor posture. 2. The hollow in our lower back acts as a natural lumbar support. And these 2 conclusions ultimately convinced Robin McKenzie that the best treatment for back pain, and the most effective way for him to treat the hundreds of patients who come into his practice every year, was to teach them, to explain the concept (posture / arch) to them, to make them actors in their healing rather than spectators of their healing. And so Instead of waiting for the day of the physiotherapist's appointment, instead of receiving only one or two physiotherapy sessions a week, the patient, once educated, can perform the exercises and stretches that make up this treatment for back pain, known today as the McKenzie method. At home, every day, several times a day, without having to wait for a physiotherapy session. ===== VIDEO SHORTCUTS ===== 0:17 - Who is Robin McKenzie? 2:44 - The McKenzie concept 3:52 - Who can do McKenzie exercises? 4:34 - McKenzie exercise #1 - Seated position 5:27 - McKenzie exercise #2 - Standing 6:31 - McKenzie exercise #3 - Floor (1) 8:05 - McKenzie exercise #4 - Floor (2) 9:16 - McKenzie exercise #5 - Cervical retraction 11:04 - Conclusion
