Muna Lakhani Memorial Service: In celebration of a beautiful life

Madukhar "Muna" Lakhani (1957-2019) was a renowned South African environmental and social justice activist. He was a longstanding member of the environmental justice organisation Earthlife Africa, one of Africa's oldest organisations of its kind. For most of his active campaigning life, Muna either led or formed an important part of numerous campaigns, but he will best be remembered for his relentless contribution toward the anti-nuclear struggle (see also PBMR) in South Africa, and in the global fight against nukes. Muna also made an instrumental contribution toward Zero Waste thinking, philosophy, design and practice, and he achieved this through his organisation, the Institute for Zero Waste in Africa (IZWA). South Africa and the global environmental and social justice struggle has a lost a dedicated activist, friend and mentor. Muna fought with his heart and soul was led by compassion for all life on this planet. Hambe Kahle, dear friend!
