Hey everyone. Ever since I heard this track for the first time, it immediately resonated with me on more than just a musical level. Hearing Marcus' story through the lyrics hit me with a wave of emotions I've not quite felt before. It was something that I could relate to. Losing a loved one is never easy. When my grandfather passed, I viewed it as a sad event, but something that was a part of life, and should be accepted as such. In trying to move on with that acceptance, I forgot to grieve, as it was a completely new emotion for me. It was almost as if I tried to suppress those emotions. I'm not quite sure if I've progressed past that point yet, but at the very least, listening to this song always makes me think of him with fond memories. Thank you for watching! Rodney Laur
