Vendulka and Lucy Sugerman closes TEDxCanberraWomen 2019 with an iconic duet, celebrating their close relationship as two outstanding young performers from the Canberra region. Vendulka grew up in Cooma before moving to Canberra. Performing at folk festivals from a young age, she got her big break by reaching the top 24 of X Factor in 2012 as a 14-year-old and returning the following year for a similar result. Since then, she’s continued to play intimate gigs in Canberra and earlier this year she released a new single - ‘Good Words’ In 2017, Lucy became the Young Canberra Citizen of the Year for Arts and Multimedia and competed in the 'The Voice Australia', placing equal third. After the show, Lucy signed deals with Universal Music Australia and Universal Music Publishing and sold out her first headline show at Canberra’s renowned Street Theatre. Her angelic voice and incredible range surprises and captivates the audience. Her thought provoking and inspiring lyrics resonate with all - old and young.
