Loyola Fire Station is one of two fire stations serving the City of Los Altos. Covering the southern half of the city, the area includes a mix of residential neighborhoods and commercial pockets along Fremont Avenue and Foothill Expressway, with familiar landmarks like Loyola Corners, Rancho Shopping Center, and the City of Los Altos Municipal Service Yard next door to McKenzie Park. In this close-knit community, many nearby residents know our firefighters by name – and we wouldn’t want it any other way! In this week’s video, firefighters on Engine 76 take on a different kind of mission by supporting SCCFD’s Firefighter Academy Class 2025-3. Tune in for a peek inside Loyola Fire Station and follow along as firefighters bring their experience and energy to help train recruit firefighters during hands-on fireground evolutions. Built in 1953, Loyola Fire Station is one of our most home-like fire stations. With a single engine company, the three firefighters on duty handle everything from emergency responses to gardening and daily station duties – creating a true firehouse family atmosphere. Deeply rooted in the neighborhood, Loyola’s crew takes pride in the personal connections and history that make this station a beloved part of the Los Altos community. This video is part of our 19-week Fire Station Spotlight Series, featuring each of our fire stations and the firefighters protecting our communities. Tune in Wednesdays for the next station tour! #sccfd #firestationspotlight #loyolastation #firestation #losaltos #engine76 #firetraining #fireservice #firefighters
