Do you like high Alpine Lakes? Do you like waterfalls? Then this ride is for you. Here is the full loop of East fork to Lost Lake located in New Mexico in the Wheeler Peak Wilderness. The best way to get there is from Taos to Questa to Red River and parking is in the outside of Red River. I rode this on the Ibis Ripmo v2, great enduro/trail weapon and it is a seriously good climber! It was so easy to climb out here on this bike. I recommend riding this trail counter-clockwise if you are doing the loop. The major climbing is in the beginning, it is tough, but the last 65% of the ride is all downhill. The second lake at the end of the video is called Middle Fork lake. This is a ride that will top out at 11,623ft altitude so bring plenty of water and food to eat on the trail. You will climb over 3,382 ft as well at 16.5 miles if you do the loop clockwise as I did and stop at the last lake as I did. Enjoy the ride...
