On this episode of Experts React, we are joined by historians Sarah Lacy and Rachael Hill. They’ll be reacting to “Far Cry Primal” for the first time. Far Cry Primal is set in 10,000 BC during the ends of the Upper Paleolithic and beginning of the Mesolithic period in Europe. It takes place in the fictional Oros valley in the Carpathian Mountains of Central Europe. We play as a Wenja tribesman named Takkar who is stranded in Oros with no weapons after his hunting party is ambushed by a saber-tooth tiger. As he progresses, he will gather other individuals and tame the animals that surround him and, thus, take power in the valley of Oros and find himself at the head of his own tribe to finally give to the Wenja the respect they deserve. Do you know how to start a fire with rocks? Did saber-toothed tigers exist in Europe at this time? Are there crocodiles in the Carpathian Mountains? What does it take to hunt a Mammoth?
