Instead, you have to force yourself to think critically, as I describe in this video. 2. Social Media Problems: A common mistake that new nurses make is posting sensitive patient information on social media. Remember, we have HIPAA and other privacy laws that we must obey. In addition, many nurses post too often on social media during a shift, which can affect patient care. 3. Time Management Problems: It can be a real challenge to complete all of your tasks as a new nurse, and if you don't take time to learn how to perform your tasks more efficiently, things will only get worse. Getting Caught Up In Gossip, Cliques, or Drama: It's only a matter of time before people try to win you over to their clique, or a coworker may begin to gossip about another coworker.
