Experience the Thrill of a Winter Hike on Mt. Kearsarge

It was a great day to take a hike up Mt. Kearsarge via the Winslow Trail. It was the middle of March and the temperature was in the middle 30s. I found a loop trail, up Winslow and down the Barlow trail. The hike up was longer than expected as I needed to take what felt like a mile long road walk before I got to the trail itself. The trial up was fun and challenging. There were some steep spots that added a level of "fun" to the hike. I was huffing and puffing for much of the way. As is common in my hikes, at one point I thought to turning around. I am glad that I didn't. The view from the summit was gorgeous. The Barlow Trail was not broken out and I didn't bring my snow shoes so I had to take the same trail down. My trekking poles came in very handy as I used them to pull me up the trail in many sections and kept from sliding down the trail on the descent. The summit trip was not in the plans but it was so close I had to bag it. I hope you enjoyed this video as much as I enjoyed making it.
