They release waste products like water (through transpiration), carbon dioxide (during respiration), and oxygen (during photosynthesis). Other waste materials include latex, resins, and gums. These are often stored in vacuoles or released through shedding of leaves, stems, or bark. Excretion in Animals: Animals have specialized excretory organs and systems to remove metabolic waste. Based on the primary nitrogenous waste produced, animals can be categorized as follows: Ammonotelic: Animals that excrete ammonia as their primary nitrogenous waste.
