There's strong evidence that exercise or physical activity reduces the risk of many cancers. And for those going through cancer treatments, exercise and physical activity has been shown and physical activity has been shown improve survival rates and reduce side effects. At MyMichigan Health, we’ve created a free series of at-home exercise videos tailored for individuals living with or beyond breast cancer. These gentle, supportive workouts are backed by strong research showing that physical activity can reduce cancer risk, recurrence, and improve overall well-being. This gentle video guides participants through a calming movement routine that combines focused breathing with slow, intentional motion. Designed to enhance range of motion and promote relaxation, the routine helps support both physical recovery and emotional well-being. Movements are performed both seated and standing, with three fitness levels demonstrated so participants can choose the pace and intensity that works best for them. Benefits include: • Improved flexibility and mobility • Reduced stress and tension • Enhanced mind-body connection This video was developed by a licensed physical therapist and exercise physiologist certified in cancer rehabilitation. They are led by a fitness instructor with over five decades of group fitness leadership skills. All participants in the video are breast cancer survivors.
