My ex-wife moved to Florida, and I have the pleasure of raising our daughter in Washington. I have a 6-year-old daughter who I would do anything for. Being a single parent is no joke and I would never give it up for anything. Before having kids, I always stated that it was easy, but I was wrong. Yes, some days are easy, and some are hard, but we both love each other and work together. My daughter is a lot easier than a lot of kids around her age that I have seen so I'm blessed in that. We always make time for each other, and I always make sure to hang out with her even on a bad/stressful workday to ensure a kid is only a kid once. We have to make sure to make the most of it because you will not get another chance. Watching her eyes light up as simple as, "Let's go to the park" or "Want to build Legos?" Remember you are their world, and they would rather spend every moment with you than anyone else.
