I think I found my new favorite buttercream recipe. Swiss Meringue Buttercream. I felt like I made some errors, but in the end it turned out well. What I've learned from making this recipe is to not use salted butter, the ⅛ tsp of salt that is added, I think I would add even less then that, and next time I will use a clear vanilla instead of the normal dark stuff because it turned my white buttercream to beige. Besides those few small errors, I love how silky it turned out, how well it held it's shape and it was a lot less sweet then normal buttercream. I love it!!
