Body, Breathe Awareness: Tools to Regulate Self with Compassionate Care! This ongoing workshop series engages community, commitment and leadership by sharing core techniques (inspired by the Behind The Scenes Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Initiative) that can help us gauge our thoughts and emotions, plus govern the speed in which we navigate through our life and work experiences. Local 487’s own, Amelia Zontini, shares tools and techniques that may help manage stress, self-regulate, ground body energy, and build resilience. Participants get to identify healing qualities of the human design and practice simple solutions that can create a sense of inner resolve. We focus on skills that can form healthier relationships with ourselves and others through acceptance and compassionate communication. This workshop series aims to help create body sovereignty with safety and trust; teaching self-regulation skills that assist us in navigating through dis-ease and overwhelm in the body. We learn how to reorient ourselves using immediate tools that ground us, shift our mindset and build our resilience through challenging times, so we can experience less anxiety and better aligned inner peace. Note: This is not a replacement for therapy. We focus on positive mindset growth tips and techniques provided by a trusted source. Amelia gently guides the group through a collaborative journey of discovery. We focus on simple routines that can boost our energy and focus, improve our body’s capacity to acknowledge the issue, and trust in our capacity to handle it. By activating a more positive growth mindset and a sense of belonging, we get to expand our capacity to release, recover and access our internal pivoting power with authority.
