Leaves are Falling, Autumn is Calling at Bell Park | West Lake, Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia, Canada Bell Park is a historic 55 acre nature park located on Hwy 1 in Mount Uniacke with more than 2 km of signed trails. The series of walking trails provides an easy hike for pedestrians and pets, including Otis and I 😉, through a mix of spruce, pine, and various hardwoods. Offering views of West Lake, look offs, and picnic area, Bell Park is definitely a great outdoor destination, especially in the fall with its vibrant colours. Bell Park was originally part of a "Crown Grant" in 1784 to Samuel Bell, a volunteer during the American Revolution, and was later turned over in 1846 to his son the Honourable Hugh Bell. Hugh Bell was a self-educated entrepreneur holding such positions as a school teacher, business owner, politician and very well known within the church. He was also one of the founders of the Nova Scotia Hospital.
