The UCF Health Communication Disorders Clinic is transforming the way we support children with reading and writing challenges, while preparing the next generation of speech-language pathologists. Through iREAD (Intensive Reading for the Enrichment of Academic Development), children struggling with literacy receive personalized, hands-on instruction from graduate student clinicians under faculty supervision. The program builds essential skills in phonological awareness, reading comprehension, spelling and writing, using a science-based approach tailored to each child.
