We've got quite a few London followers from the scrapyard videos, so this one will be right up your street. We are back in the Peak District this week. Welcome to former Stagecoach London 47990, which is now with TM Travel, fleet numbered as 1151. Having the combination of a Mercedes engine and Allison Gearbox, here you get to see its performance, tackling the hills in the Peak District as we use the manual gears. TM Travel has always been the home of Solos, from the classics to the Solo SRs at present. A few of the older examples following the clean air zone in Sheffield have now left the fleet, although TM were granted an exemption for these older buses to be used whilst they found Euro6 alternatives. That gets us onto this one here, where many former London based Solos were moved in to meet those rules. Whether you're under the impression or not, South Yorkshire will soon be following the footsteps as Manchester with public ownership, which will open the door to franchising. Currently I've no idea what the future will hold for TM Travel but they are a big part of my childhood, so do expect some great videos of their fleet this year as I work with many people to get these videos.
