Hidden in plain sight within Lake Ontario is a massive nearly one-mile-wide impact crater. This feature is known as the Charity Shoal, and likely formed as part of an ancient cataclysm referred to as the Ordovician meteor event. This video will discuss the formation of the aforementioned impact structure and discuss exactly what the Ordovician meteor event was.
