What's up, Sinners? Do you want to learn how to make stuffed sugar cookies? Well sit down and take notes because I'm going to show you anyway. Today we're making Niffty's Sinfully Sweet Stuffed Sugar Cookies from Hazbin Hotel. Technically the recipe shown in the show is simply "a cookie" but given my theories about Niffty's backstory I feel like she'd go above and beyond for Hell's Greatest Dad. Put on your questionably stained aprons and get out your mixing spoons, it's time to bake. Subscribe or else! Chapters: 00:00 - Intro and About Niffty 00:45 - Filling 03:33 - Cookie Dough 04:15 - Assembly 05:17 - Frosting 06:11 - Outro Recipe: Cherry Filling: 2.5 Cups Sweet and Tart Cherries 1 Cup Granulated Sugar 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice Cornstarch Slurry (3 Tablespoons Cornstarch and 3 Tablespoons Water) In a sauce pot combine the cherries, granulated sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a rolling boil, reduce heat and cook for ten minutes over medium heat to make a nice syrup. Set aside 1/4 cup of the cherry syrup. Transfer the rest of the cherries and syrup to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer blended mix back to the pot over medium heat and add in the cornstarch slurry. Allow to thicken until nice and gloopy (very scientific term). Once thickened, remove from the heat. Line a baking sheet with a silicone liner and spoon the cherry filling into little mounds. Cool to room temperature and then place in the freezer for at least half an hour and until ready to use. Sugar Cookie: 1 Cup Unsalted Butter, Softened but still slightly cool 1 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract 1 Egg & 1 Egg Yolk 2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder 1/4 Teaspoon Iodized Salt Cream together the butter and sugar. Add in the vanilla and egg. Mix well. Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix together until just combined. Chill for ten minutes. Once chilled, take 1/4 cup of cookie dough and press into a disc, use a glass to even out the cookie dough. Fill with the frozen cherry filling. Top with another sugar cookie dough disc. Press edges together to blend and smooth. Chill in the fridge another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Bake for 22 Minutes. Then cool completely. Icing: 2 Cup of powdered sugar 1.5 Tablespoons - 2 Tablespoons Milk depending on preferences 1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice Mix together in a bowl and spread over the tops of cooled cookies. Drizzle and flick the reserved cherry juice over the top of the icing in unnerving patterns. Enjoy!
