Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies This is my recipe for my very famous Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. The last few years, I have also made Oatmeal Double Chocolate Cookies. This is the one family recipe that is all mine. I experimented and came up with this one myself. Ingredients (Oatmeal Choc Chip) 1/2 lb salted butter (2 sticks) 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 2 TBLS whole milk 2 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 3/4 cups flour (sifted) 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats 2 cups 60% cocoa chips Ingredients (Oatmeal Double Choc Chip) 1/2 lb salted butter (2 sticks) 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 2 TBLS whole milk 2 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 1/4 cups flour (sifted) 3/4 cup cacao or cocoa powder (sifted) 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats 2 cups 60% cocoa chips 1 cup walnut pieces (opt) Preheat oven to 375. In a medium-large bowl, combine flour, cacao/cocoa powder, baking soda, & salt and set aside. In a large mixing bowl (stand mixer in video, but I’ve done this by hand), beat butter & sugars until creamy. Add eggs, then milk, then vanilla extract & beat well. Slowly add flour mixture. Slowly add oats. Fold in chocolate chips (and nuts). Mix well. Drop rounded teaspoons onto un-greased cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes for chewy or 12-13 minutes for crispy. Cool for 1 minute on sheet, then on racks. This makes 5 dozen cookies for each recipe).
