Pad Thai Like in Bangkok’s Food Stalls? 🇹🇭 Thai Stir-Fry Noodle Recipe

How difficult is it to make pad Thai with all the original ingredients, and what are the best substitutes? Let's see if I can replicate this iconic dish like it's done by street food vendors in Bangkok! Check my channel for more food videos. Like and subscribe to help my channel! 00:00 Intro 00:34 Ingredient review 01:48 Preparation 04:08 Stir-frying 06:07 Serving + tasting 06:43 Outro Ingredients: – 130 g flat rice noodles – 6 king prawns – 150 g firm tofu – 2 tbsp tamarind paste – 30 g palm sugar – A bunch of Chinese chives (or regular chives) – 1/2 red onion or 1 shallot – 3 tbsp dry shrimps – 10 g preserved sweet radish – 3 tbsp fish sauce – 2 eggs (+2 optional to use as wrapper or to top the noodles) – 40 g peanuts – Chilli flakes – 60 g bean sprouts – Lime Procedure: 1. In a saucepan, combine 2-3 tbsp tamarind paste, half a glass of water and 30 g palm sugar, and let it reduce on low heat (10-15 minutes) 2. Roast and then chop/crush 40 g peanuts 3. Chop 1-2 shallots (or half a red onion) and a bunch of chives (5 cm); also, dice 150 g firm tofu 4. Soak 120 g flat rice noodles in warm water for 10-15 minutes 5. Peel 6 king prawns, then fry them in a wok for a minute on medium heat 6. Remove them and add in shallots, tofu, and pickled radish; stir-fry for a couple of minutes, without letting the onion burn 7. Add 2 beaten eggs to the side and fry them quickly while scrambling them 8. Add in the soaked noodles, half a glass of water, 3 tbsp dry shrimps, 3 tbsp fish sauce, and the tamarind sauce; keep stir-frying for a minute or so 9. Add 60 g beansprouts, the chives and the prawns; give it another toss and then turn the heat off; optional - fry an egg to use as a wrapper or to top the noodles 10. To serve, sprinkle some crushed peanuts on top, some chilli flakes and lime wedges on the side; optional: wrap in a fried egg; enjoy!
