I also didn't use the FRV, because it's not a part of my build and you don't always get a free FRV in your maps. So you can't rely on it. Game stats 10 Bot reinforcements. 11/15 Orbital Barrage. 22/28 Machine gun sentry. 15/17 Rocket sentry. Found a better build? If it does better under the same modifiers and mission, show us and everyone can benefit. Does it work in teamplay? Yes, because you can carry them. No matter what. What's my best build criteria for each faction? Solo - Stress test No stims - Covers way too many basic mistakes and I like the more realistic aspect of it No deaths - Otherwise it’s not solo Full map clear (No POIs) - It’s not just about kills Kill as many enemies as possible - The more kills, the more stress it can handle. Highest difficulty - Stress test Any sub-faction - It shouldn’t matter Any terrain, any mission, any mission modifier (even in a forest) - It shouldn’t matter It’s about testing everything at once to see how much pressure it can take, before it breaks. Why triple sentry? It allows for the highest number of precise attacks and defence. Why stealth armour? I'm tired of enemy units engaging me from 100-150m away when I haven't even touched them. It also feels like less patrols pop up when you wear stealth armour. Why no SEAF artillery? You can't rely on it. Why no eruptor? Crossbow has a faster rate of fire, easier to aim with, reload time is almost identical and no shrapnel to kill you. The only noteworthy advantage the eruptor has is that it's easier to aim at gunships, but I have the RR and sentries for that. Plus, I don't think it's too hard to aim with the crossbow at the gunships. Why no jump pack? Unnecessary once you know how to move and deprives you of another offensive stratagem. Why no autocannon? Crossbow and recoilless can handle anything. Why no guard dog? For bots? Are you kidding me? You NEVER want the bots to get within guard dog range. Lol. Why no AMR? Recoilless can kill hulks, gunships, striders and command bunkers. Crossbow can handle everything else. Why no railgun? RR is faster and easier at killing heavy units at range. Railgun struggles to kill fabs, factory striders, turrets, dropships and command bunkers. Why no gas strike or gatling barrage? Because 500kg can kill more and strafing run can kill even more than them combined. Plus, they're rarely clumped together. Why no EATs or commandos? I have four stratagems and a support weapon that can kill any heavy. Why no 380mm? It can one shot the detector tower, but the other stratagems allow for more frequent precise attacks and defence and more kills. Why no emplacements? Sentries draw aggro away from you and a lot of bot planets have poor visibility and a lot of terrain blocking your view. On planets with open flat terrain, the AT emplacement are great, but it's better to have a mobile you + 2 sentries shooting rather than you on a turret + 1 sentry shooting. Less chance of you taking damage and being flanked. Sentries allow you to focus more on objectives too. Now let’s compare their kills. Max emplacement usage: 14 Average kills:15 (30 shots) Max rocket sentry usage: 17 Average kills: 10 (40 shots) Are you really going to use the emplacement every time and all the shots? No. Maybe 50% Are you going to use the sentry whenever it comes up? Yes. Emplacement - 15 kills x 7 uses = 105 kills Rocket sentry - 10 kills x 17 uses = 170 kills
