Bookstore Shenanigans: Bookstore Tour and Suffolk Authors Festival

Hello TPW Family and welcome to yet another edition of Bookstore Shenanigans! On today’s episode I wanted to give you a tour of the bookstore and broadcast an upcoming bookish event here in Hampton Roads. I wanted to give you a full tour of the bookstore so that you have an idea of exactly what we look like. A lot of times on social media we only have but so much time to showcase what we need to so there are a lot of cuts and edits and music. However, I never want there to be any misconception as to what The Printed Word actually looks like and what experience to expect when you get here! We’re a small indie bookstore that does a great job at utilizing the space we’ve been blessed with and we keep everything very neat and tidy. Next, we wanted to let you know about a special event coming up this Saturday: The Suffolk Virginia Authors Festival. This will be happening this Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 1-5pm at the Suffolk Convention Center. You can just google Suffolk Authors Festival to get the details from their website, but it’s sure to be a great day filled with authors and books! It’s free to attend and you’ll have the opportunity to see 75+ authors in the building. There will be panels, discussions, book signings, and more so it’s going to be a great time.
