Day 8 After we had finished breakfast, around 0900h, i took some time to make some videoshots of Poffabro with my drone. Here are some shots from the higher part of Poffabro and the square. *there will be an other, extended, video of the drone footage. Later in the morning, we where picked up by my aunt and partner, they a bed & breakfast, nearby Poffabro, in the hamlet Borgo Polaz. They took us to Erto, where we drove up 3/4 of the mountain, parked the car and walked up the rest of the mountain. After walking up half way, we took a little break, i took my drone and made some shots, further up, after the tunnel we could see our destination "Rifugio Cava Buscada". We where now at 1800m above sealevel, after arriving we enjoyed a good meal, with a nice cold beer. It was a pity that low-hanging clouds came to set up, causing the beautiful views to disappear. The "Cava Buscada" refuge was once a shelter for quarrymen who worked at the (red)marble quarry (closed in 1994), and has been recovered by Gianpietro Corona. In 2010, after some years of renovation, the refuge was opened, it has 21 beds, and a kitchen that serves typical Friulian Dolomite dishes. We have visited the quarry, seen some fossils in the marble, the places where they worked on the marble, and seen some of the tools that helped to get the marble down the mountain. When we got back at the car, i flown the drone partly back over the road we should take down, and for a view over the valley
