Hello and welcome to this report about Liselotte Essberger. It is a cardboard model on a scale of 1:250 and was published by Möwe Verlag in Wilhelmshaven. It is 89 meters long in the original and 35.6 cm long as a model. As you can see straight away, I didn't build it in the original. We often vacationed in Cuxhaven and saw many small tankers and I wanted to build one. But I couldn't find anything in the relevant kits and so I decided to simply convert the Liselotte Essberger accordingly. The result can be seen here. Because I always scan the sheets into the PC beforehand, I thought I could use them to build other models. So I edited the template and printed it out for myself and this way I had 4 beautiful models. Each of these models had a template that I looked at on the Marine Traffic website. I also downloaded the containers from the internet, edited them and printed them out. I would like to focus more on one type of ship: it is this model with the low ship bridge. It comes from Russia and is capable of entering the Caspian Sea via the Don and the Volga-Don Canal. The bridges near Rostov-on-Don only have a limited clearance height and therefore ships that want to enter the Caspian Sea must be built accordingly. There was even once a plan for a direct canal from Rostov to the Caspian Sea, which would even be funded by Kazakhstan and would better connect the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea, but they just aren't moving forward. So we will continue to see these ships with their low bridge structures in the North and Baltic Seas. That was it again from my craft corner. I thank you for taking your time and say goodbye.
