In this video, I answer 7 pen hobby related questions I received from viewer/pen friend, PS, this morning in my email! The questions were fun to think about and got me really contemplating things! Here are the 7 questions in case you want to answer them in the comments or in your own video! #7penfriendquestions (let's make this a TAG video ... if you make videos will you answer these questions too?): 1. How do you keep the interest in this hobby alive? 2. Which particular eyedropper pen do you always reach for? 3. What paper do you recommend apart from Rhodia? 4. When you plan to purchase a brand new pen, what things do you have in mind? Do you read about the pen or see other reviews? 5. Will you reach out to gel pens or ball point pens given the opportunity, or will it be just fountain pens for any form of writing? 6. How can a new entrant (fresher to this hobby) connect the fountain pen hobby to other hobbies like journaling? 7. How can we make the fountain pen hobby more affordable? **SPECIAL thank you ** to pen friend LV for the TWSBI Draco fountain pen and other stationery goodies from Appelboom... we will explore the pen during the Progress Report and inks going forward ... I can't wait!!!! Thank you to EVERYONE who has contributed to this channel over the past almost 8 years ... I am very grateful for every like, sub, & comment and I'm always so surprised and stunned by the generosity and thoughtfulness coming from pen friends and viewers. I will need to live a long life to satisfactorily pay it forward enough. I would LOVE to hear YOUR answers to these questions ... I felt particularly weak in the area of how to connect fountain pens to other hobbies maybe because fountain pens are so woven into my entire life and day now and maybe I'm just not seeing the WHOLE picture objectively -- I probably take my pens for granted a great deal. Also, the question about how we can make it more affordable is challenging with skyrocketing costs across the board for essentials and being on a fixed income especially ... I have found out over the years that my initial idea that I'd "save" money using refillable fountain pens ... LOL ... didn't turn out to be the case because of my love of trying "all the inks" and many pens. :) But I have very few purchase regrets and have gotten more enjoyment from the hobby and pen friendships I've made than I could ever have predicted!!!! Some people have sports or other collections and interests .... we have fountain pens and stationery!!!!! I'd love to hear real practical ideas from other pen people on how we can keep our beloved hobby affordable during these challenging economic times which are also quite full of uncertainty right now. Thank you for watching!!!! And thank you pen friend PS for asking these questions ... I'm still mulling some of them over but I love that you started the conversation!!!!
