Moldova is the least visited country in eastern Europe, and a country most of us know nothing about, after traveling to Chisinau and Transnistria last year, we left with a bit of an idea about this country. However we only explored one part of Moldova, so when the opportunity arose to return, we decided to travel back to the least visited country in Europe. We are headin to the Ungheni region, in the west to find out what the real Moldova is like, beyond the big cities and negative news headlines. So we booked a last minute flight to Chisinau and travelled west, to the Ungheni region, near the Romanian border, to explore one of the least known regions in the country and try to learn even more about this little known & underrated country on the edge of eastern Europe.
