In this video I detail the making and modifications of Caitlin Hunter's Misurina sweater pattern using my handspun yarn. The main color was made with fiber from a cormo fleece I bought at the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival in 2019. I dyed the fiber in the wool with black eyed susans I grew in my garden. I used different mordants to create slightly different colors that I spun into singles and plied into a 3ply marled yarn. The contrast color is a 2 ply barber poled yarn spun from a Malabrigo Nube braid of fiber. One inch after joining the front and back, I started decreasing two stitches on each side (k2tog, k2, ssk) every 4th row of the body and knit in stockinette. I continued the side cables down the arms and worked the eyelet pattern between them, choosing stockinette around the rest of the circumference. I added decreased every 6 rows (k2tog, k2, ssk). I knit the twisted rib and rolled hem for the cuffs - same as collar. The bottom hem is simply twisted rib with a stretchy bind off to prevent bulk when tucked into skirts.
