Tarawera UTMB 🌿 | Crewing Jordan’s 100-Mile Debut It’s a dream of mine to run the Tarawera 100-mile race by UTMB in Rotorua, New Zealand. I was supposed to run this year, but due to an injury in training, I had to withdraw. While I couldn’t be on the start line myself, I was grateful to still be part of the race by crewing Jordan for his 100-mile debut. Jordan absolutely smashed it—running an 18-hour 31-minute finish, placing 14th overall. What inspired me most wasn’t just his speed but his composure and gratitude throughout the race. He stayed cool, calm & collected, took his time at aid stations, and always made sure to appreciate his crew, friends, and family along the way. Making it to the start line is a journey in itself—something I unfortunately couldn’t do this year. As much as I would have loved to be out there running and sharing some miles with Jordan, experiencing the race from behind the scenes was unforgettable. Watching months of training come down to a single day, seeing the strategy unfold, and witnessing it all go to plan was truly beautiful. A huge congrats, Jordan!
