Another method is to just unload whatever skills you have available - For Goblins this is Charging Strike - Uppercut depending on what part of the combo you are at. For Ogres this means using Charging Strike - Uppercut ( - Focused Fist if the Uppercut does not kill). Tab-targeting might be useful here, though I personally do not have enough experience using it to provice a solid recommendation.
