|Paalak Patra|Spinach Patra|Easy Gujrati Snack|पालक पात्रा|Dilse Foodie Re| #paalakpatra#spinachpatra#easygujratisnack#dilsefoodiere Paalak Patra or Spinach Patra is a very simple, healthy Gujrati snack made with fresh palak(spinach) leaves,smeared with a spicy besan (chickpea flour)paste,rolled into cylindrical and then steamed.Later,it is cut into pieces and shallow fried with an aromatic tempering of mustard seeds,white sesame seeds and curry leaves.Very similar to the traditional Alu Vadi(colocasia leaves vadi)of Maharashtra,this delicious recipe can be served as an appetizer or enjoyed as a tea time snack! Ingredients Paalak leaves -as needed Besan Paste Besan-1/2 cup Ginger(1/2 inch)+Green Chilli (4)-1 tbsp Salt to taste Haldi powder-1/2 tsp Hing powder-1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder-1 tbsp Garam masala powder-1 tsp Roasted jeera powder-1 tsp Dhaniya powder-1 tbsp White til-1 tbsp Ajwain-1 tsp Gur powder-1 tbsp Baking soda-a pinch Lemon juice-1 tbsp Water-as needed Tempering Oil-2 tbsp Rai-1 tsp Jeera-1 tsp Hing powder-1/4 tsp White til-1 tbsp Curry leaves -10 Method Wash and dry spinach leaves. In a bowl,add besan,ginger green chilli paste,salt,haldi powder, hing, Kashmiri red chilli powder,garam masala powder, roasted jeera powder,dhaniya powder, white til,ajwain,gur powder,baking soda,lemon juice.Mix well.Add enough water to make a thick paste. Spread besan paste on backside of each paalak leaf and place them one above the other.Fold sides and apply paste.Roll leaves into a cylinder.Prepare all Patras similarly. Steam for about 10-12 min.Cool to room temperature and cut into pieces. Heat oil,add rai,jeera,hing, white til and curry leaves.Saute for a few seconds .Arrange Paalak Patra pieces on pan, shallow fry both sides till golden brown and crispy.
