Institution is always greater than the men who run it. However, there are times when some deeds of individuals make the institution even greater. Such instances wherein legal luminaries displayed exemplary courage and leadership have hitherto laid down the promise for justice. The speech stands to highlight an all new era of reawakening for the judicial system of India, while encouraging the citizens to assert their rights and duties and realise, yet again the importance of ethics, integrity and virtue. A brilliant scholar Dr. Shruti Bedi currently is a Sr. Assistant professor in the University Institute of legal Studies, Punjab University. Her area of expertise includes Constitutional Law and Anti-Terror Law and she has published several articles on the same. Her book titled 'Indian Counter Terrorism Law' has proved to be a benchmark in her illustrious career.
