MacMillan Mighty Hike Marathon Complete! So I thought I would 'check-in' having completed the 26.2mile Mighty Hike Marathon for MacMillan. This challenge WAS TOUGH... But I learnt A LOT! Having hit 3 "walls" during the Mighty Hike, these were the 5 things I learnt to push through the wall: 1 - Make Sound - any sound, breath and make sound.... 2 - Having a Good Support Team - when you feel like you can't go on, it's great to have people with you who encourage you to take just one more step, just one more step.... 3 - Hydration, Hydration, Hydration! Just keep on 'taking water onboard' 4 - Eat to refuel! 5 - Have a good "After-the-event recovery plan" For me I could call on the tools and techniques that I am trained in - so using my MELT Method Balls (which I also used during the hike) and using my kinesiology skills. But it is also really important to keep moving after you have put your body under intense stress..... When you undertake a challenge - whatever that may be in your life, you can look at it as an obstacle - or an opportunity to expand. What's your challenge?
