I made burnt rustic bedside lamp from rotten chestnut log with MANPA tools

In this video, I made a bedside lamp from a large piece of chestnut wood. First, I removed the rotten parts from the old log. Then I carved small grooves around it to look like natural bark. I hollowed out the inside using a special tool for fast material removal. To give it a wabi-sabi look, I burned the surface with a gas torch and then sanded off the excess soot. Finally, I finished the wood with spirit black stain and installed a LED light inside.
