In this video, I wanted to make a solid wooden bench that looks like it was made from one single piece of wood. I received three large linden logs as a gift. I used the biggest one for the seat and the other two for the legs. I wanted the seat to be as ergonomic, rounded, and curved as possible, so it would be comfortable to sit on. Since the bench is meant for outdoor use, I had to make sure rainwater could drain easily. I attached the legs with wooden dowels, which later turned out to be a good solution. Because it was cold outside (-4°C), I lit a small fire to stay warm. The project took about half a year to finish because, during that time, I received a serious health diagnosis—but in the end, everything turned out well.
