This is a live streaming test of our public programming presentation on the Scott Islands. Presenting: Blair Hammond is the Manager of Ecosystem Conservation for Environment Canada's Canadian Wildlife Service in British Columbia. Blair will provide an overview of the planning process Environment Canada has undertaken for the Scott Islands marine National Wildlife Area proposal and will address some of the specific challenges of planning and managing for a large marine protected areas. Dr. Mark Hipfner is a Research Scientist with Environment Canada's Wildlife Research Division. He has conducted research on many aspects of seabird biology and marine ecology in Alaska, Canada's eastern Arctic, Newfoundland and Labrador, and British Columbia. Since 2001, he has directed the Centre for Wildlife Ecology's seabird research and monitoring program at several major colonies in British Columbia, including Triangle Island in the Scott Islands archipelago.
