What is a Mamelon? A detailed look at our best bottle find yet! 30:30 Jewellery making 36:03 Your Photos We make out best bottle find yet - an incredible Turn Mold Bottle - also, a Ring Sealed Bottle (RSB) - its a perfect example and worth a close look. What an amazing day! Its a fantastic day for finds - it looks like Champagne flowed here back in the halcyon days of this coastal town. We find numerous bottle parts that look like RSB types, commonly used to hold Champagne and beer, though they were very commonly refilled. Our Antipodean viewers might recognise this bottle type from museums as it is the most common bottle type found by archeologists in that region - these were imported from the UK. We also find many really lovely pottery shards and beautiful sea glass - though our oddest find of the day has to be a half set of false teeth! Its an odd thought to consider that, although these look like biological material, the bone china pottery and milk glass are more likely to have biological material in them than this toothy find! Craig takes a wee look at Broughty Ferry, once known as thee richest square mile in Europe, and home to more millionaires than we care to mention - and one of its residents, David Blair, a man who many blamed for the sinking of the Titanic! Guidelines in Scotland have now changed. As of Monday we will be in group 0, which means very few restrictions - none-the-less, we will err on the side of caution and continue to follow our polices... --Our policies-- Since March 2020 we have restricted our travel to distances and limited meetings with others. We only film mid-week. If we arrive in an area and people are present, we leave without getting out of the car. Our policies are simple and entirely concerned with maintaining social distancing so that we can be safe and so that we can ensure the safety of others. #mudlark #Scottish #Relaxing
