This is a very common occurrence in many relationships, sometimes resulting in break-ups. When you are ready for marriage and your other half isn't, you are left to decide whether or not you are willing to wait for your other half to be ready someday. This type of a decision can be quite complicated because there are a lot of factors to juggle. But basically, you are ultimately asking yourself if waiting for him is worth the risk. At the end of the day, you are taking a risk that maybe he will never be ready, or maybe if you end the relationship you won't find another person who is as great as he is. Whatever the fears are, they can be paralyzing in figuring out what the best decision is for you. No matter what you decide, it's important to take control over this decision and not allow it to take over you. You have control over your life. You have control over your happiness. It's important to ask a few key questions for yourself in figuring out what to do if he's not ready for marriage: 1. Does he have a good reason to wait? 2. Have you waited long enough? 3. If you wait longer and things don't work out, will you be okay? 4. How much longer are you willing to wait? No matter what decision you make for yourself, it's important to remember that marriage is not the fixer of all problems. Make sure that you want to get married for the right reasons.
