Skoda officially revealed the Kushaq earlier this year. The Kushaq is the production version of Vision IN showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and it is the most important launch for Skoda even for VW Group in the Indian market. One major highlight is that Kushaq is 95% localised to keep the cost as low as possible without losing on quality. The Kushaq follows the global design theme of Skoda and the front gets the signature grille of Skoda. Along with new LED headlamps and a sporty design for the bumper. Skoda offers 17-inch wheels as standard. The rear gets LED tail lamps and a similar design to other modern Skoda models. The Kushaq measures 4,225 mm for length, a 1,760 mm width and a height of 1,612 mm, wheelbase of 2651 mm, boot space of 385 litres and 185 mm ground clearance. The Kushaq is one of the smallest models in its class but the wheelbase is segment best. Skoda offers 5 colours on Kushaq - Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Honey Orange, Carbon Steel and Tornado Red. Three variants - Active, Ambition, and Style. The interior design is modern but again we can see that it is exactly similar to other global models like the new generation Fabia. The steering wheel is a two-spoke unit and the quality appears to be good. But the Kushaq get conventional dials instead of digital like most of its competitors. 10-inch infotainment system with wireless android auto and Apple CarPlay. Lots of features like ventilated seats, wireless charging, ambient lights, 7-speaker premium audio system, keyless entry, auto-dimming IRVM and more. In terms of safety also Kushaq gets dual airbags, airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, rear parking sensors and camera, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX mounts and TPMS. Skoda has put in lots of efforts to make the Kushaq ride as good as possible. The Kushaq comes with two engines. 1.0 L TSI with 110 PS and 175 NM from the Rapid with 6-speed manual or auto. 1.5 L TSI with 150 PS and 250 Nm from Kodiaq with 7-speed DSG only.
