Demo of new features in Pico Timecode. https://github.com/mungewell/pico-tim... Multiple units are connected in a 'daisy chain', and can be Jammed from a single unit. Firstly the video shows an un-calibrated setup where the units just take time from their own XTAL accuracy. After 12hours (or so) the unit timings are slightly different; one is 6 frames behind and one is 2 frames ahead. In the second half of the video the units are jammed again, but with 'Sync after Jam' enabled. Each unit continues to monitor the incoming LTC signal and adjusts/compensates it's own XTAL to match... in theory this means that the units should be better at stay in sync. In this demo there's obvious a glitch; at the end of '15mins calibration' one unit ('B') show that it is out of sync on it's bar graph. After 10hours this unit is slightly behind the others - by a couple of frames. Note: The display thread is async to the LTC output, running around the loop as quickly as it can, and not quite achieving 30fps when RX Monitor is also on the screen. The LED flash is controlled by the PIO blocks and is perfectly in time with the LTC.
