Parkinson’s disease disrupts the complex communication between the brain and muscles, but what if we could measure these changes objectively and precisely? This study, based on my PhD thesis, investigates how neuromuscular alterations in the lower limbs during gait over different terrains—captured through surface electromyography (EMG)—could serve as reliable biomarkers.
