West Highland Way, Day 1: All smiles at the start...but for how long? 😬

We ease into the trail with a gentle walk through beautiful lowland scenery, enjoying woodland paths, quiet country lanes, and open farmland. It’s a peaceful start to the journey as we leave the hustle of Milngavie behind and head north past places like Mugdock Country Park, Craigallian Loch, and the rolling hills around Dumgoyne. We stay in a camping pod near Drymen and head into town for a relaxed meal before the real challenge begins. Spirits are high... for now!
