Lou Gold and His Orchestra - Three Little Words, Fox-Trot (Kalmar-Ruby) from the comic movie "Check And Double Check" with Vocal refrain (I. Kaufman?), Imperial 1930 (British product) NOTE: Lou GOLD (born Goldwasser in 1885 in Łódź, Poland) American dance bandleader and pianist of the Jewish/Polish origin. His orchestra was immensely popular in NYC, from the late 1910s to the early 1930s. It was an all-white band playing hot dance music in live music venues and later, from the mid 1920s through the 1930s, also in studio recordings, using several pseudonyms for the different labels. He worked with Benny Goodman, Vincent Lopez, Tommy Dorsey, Abe Lyman, and many others. In the 1930s Gold relocated to Miami, Florida, where he played at the Triton Hotel in Miami Beach. He died in 1950, in Miami FL.
